Spatial Lines/Jewellery 2024

Materials: Steel Cable, Stainless Steel, 925 Silver, Synthetic Fabric, Sewing Threads .

The necklaces are built from metal constructions, incorporating parts inspired by Heddle weaving looms. These jewelry pieces draw lines that seem to sketch space with a drawing-like quality, encouraging the viewer to reflect on the contrast between empty and full, tension and relaxation. In two necklaces, fabric is embedded with collages of an exterior wall and a curtain, creating a connection between the rigid steel cable and the delicate fabric. The four necklaces, which echo a window to an airy space, aim to create tension and harmony between soft and rigid, exterior and interior, masculine and feminine. They also merge crafts with different gender associations—goldsmithing, weaving, and sewing.
