Kette/Jewellery 2023

Materials: Linen, Wood, Colour Paint, Sterling Silver, Spring Steel, Porcelain, Fabric.

In this project, I explored the image of the jewel and its meaning in the representation of the wearer by focusing on the visual language of the pearl necklace. I tried to push the boundaries of the traditional necklace. Each piece takes a unique approach and offers different perspectives. In the flat portrait, the women and the jewelry become one. With the layering of thin fabrics that seem to disappear in an instant, accompanied by an incomplete circular print, I captured their essence and memory. I infuse my pieces with an ethereal quality and a touch of the sublime with the intention of creating a transformative experience that evokes awe and reverence for both the wearer and the viewer.
