On a trip to India, I captured the captivating blend of culture, tradition, and architecture. This led to the creation of this series. The series draws inspiration from Indian temple architecture and its rich heritage, specifically focusing on the geometric shapes that form these structures. By deconstructing and reconstructing these shapes, I’ve designed a new system that transcends existing boundaries, resulting in a surprising and contemporary composition.
This work offers a new perspective on the relationship between stone and metal, challenging the classical approach to stone setting. The gemstones' cuts align with architectural elements, infusing light into the inner spaces of the rings. This combination imparts a sense of small architectural structures.
